The OBDLink® MX WiFi model has been discontinued, but you can still use it with the OBDLink App. 


We recommend that you avoid the Connection Wizard because it only shows OBDLink Bluetooth adapters.


Follow the steps below to change the OBDLink app's communication type.


  1. In the OBDLink App, navigate to Settings > Preferences > Communications > Communication Type.

  2. In the Type menu (iOS) or Communication Type menu (Android), select Wi-Fi.

  3. Navigate back to the app home screen and tap Connect.


Troubleshooting

iOS users only: In the OBDLink app, navigate to Settings > Help > Connection for additional information about the OBDLink MX WiFi adapter.
